Sailing between Amsterdam, Volendam
Marken and Monnickendam aboard a traditional Dutch barge with
leeboards. A pleasant outing, provided with regional specialities
such as dutch apple pie, freshly smoked eel and a local captain
bitter.
Possibilities:

TOURISTIC SAILING DAY TRIP (4 hours)
On board at Amsterdam PTA at 10 AM, departure time to your liking. Acquaintance with the crew, then we start the motor to pass the Oranje locks to the IJsselmeer. There, we hise the sails together and choose rate to the beautiful lighthouse "Paard van Marken". Drinks and a fresh lunch, appetisers or a warm dinner are served. We sail into the harbour of Volendam, where you can have a walk over the famous "de Dijk". The crew will help you find your way to the regional bus stop, or arrange your taxi. From Volendam it takes about 20 minutes to get back to Amsterdam Central Station.
TRADITIONAL SAILING EXPERIENCE 15 MINUTES AWAY FROM AMSTERDAM (6-12 people)
After Espresso
& Cappuccino with Dutch apple pie, we leave the beautiful
harbor of Monnickendam. Together with the crew you hoist the
sails, and you take over the helm. We sail for a nice lunch
destination ashore, for example in Hoorn or Volendam. You maneuver
yourself out of the harbor and we sail back to Monnickendam.
Along the way drinks and beverages are served.
This short sail excursion along the ports of Marken and Volendam
is ideal for traditional Dutch Waterland experience. The skipper
will be happy as your host, including care in the form of Waterland
snacks and drinks. A lunch at noon, or a dinner at the end of
the sailing trip is possible in such an eel smokehouse in Volendam,
a cozy restaurant on the beautiful peninsula Marken, or on a
waterfront terrace in Monnickendam. With bus or car, Monnickendam
lies only 15 minutes away from the center of Amsterdam. Please
contact the captain to align your needs.
MEETING WITH SAILING (times in consultation)
A combination of a concentrated conference with relaxing sailing, provided with luxury and professionally served snacks and beverages. Together with the crew, you sail the skuts “Vrouwe Francina” to a unique meeting venue at Marken, where you literally oversee the course your company wants to go! Lunch, dinner and overnight in Marken of Volendam possible. Please contact the captain to align your needs.
